I have been photographing this little blue eyed beauty for a whole year now! I can't believe how fast that year went by! She came by for her 1 year old portraits and of course we had to have cake!!! Unfortunately.....she didn't care for it too much.....but boy was it cute to watch!!!
And then came the cake.....
She's not one for getting messy. She totally did NOT like the feeling of cake on her! It was too cute!!! hehe
She was a good sport! And I'm sure she had a wonderful birthday! I look forward to seeing her grow into a beautiful little toddler!!!
Ok so I have been a little behind on my blogging! I promise to catch everyone up on what we have been doing and keep it better updated!
So a while ago we had the opportunity to fly to Nebraska for 4 senior portraits and we had a BLAST!!!! First of all I couldn't ask for better locations! There were so many we didn't even get to because we ran out of time! Thanks to Jenny (who is officially our number one senior "assistant") She had no problem jumping in and holding reflectors (and totally mastered it by the way!) Actually all the parents at one time or another were holding props, clothes, lights or reflectors.....this was really a speacial and AMAZING group of people! All four seniors were boys and they did GREAT!!! We really had a great time with this gang!!! Here are just some of the great shots from the weekend:
Chase was such a good sport! Pretty much up for anything we asked! We had some good laughs on these train tracks! We are always on our toes for senior sessions! You just never know what will happen! hehe Chase will someday be a big movie director, I'm sure of it! Hey Chase, don't forget us little people when you make the big time!
Chase has a beautiful Mustang so we had to show it off!!!
Logan was a little shy at first but he quickly got use to us and I think maybe even had a little fun if I do say so myself! He is a sweet guy!
Dylan was fun and pretty much up for anything! He's a football stud and also on the dive team so we had to show that off in his senior portraits! I'm all about showing off the talents of these young stars!!!
Jayden was such a great guy! Very talented golfer and he also had a sweet car that we had to include! We even got to spend some time on the golf course to see him (and Dylan) in action!
Thanks to all these cool guys that let us take them all over town for their senior portraits! And a huge thank you to their parents who spent the day in the warm sun with us and were such a big help! You guys have awesome parents and we enjoyed spending the weekend with you all! Best of luck to the guys from Norfolk Class of 2011. I have no doubt you all with be successful in whatever you choose to do!

The beautiful Amber visited us for her senior portraits this year. I have known Amber since she was about 12 or 13 and she has grown into such a beautiful young woman. I sometimes can't believe she is a senior this year! We had a blast photographing both in studio and on location.

We were happy to celebrate a first birthday at the studio with this little cutie pie! He was a guy on the go, let me tell you! I love this age because they are so interested in everything (and sometimes they are interested in everything BUT me! haha) He was sure to always stay close to mom, it was so cute! And of course we had to do our traditional cake smash photos!
He was a little unsure about the cake at first...
but soon discovered all the yummy goodness inside...
So randomly one day I decided I needed to have a weekly "thing" to do on the blog besides just posting about some of our latest sessions that we have had and then it hits me.........(cue awesome super hero type music) FUN FACT FRIDAY!!!!! (oooohhhhhh, aaaaahhhhhhh)
So every friday I will be posting a fun fact for you to enjoy. It could be about us, or our company, or about photography in general, or about anything else under in sun (hmm....or maybe even the sun! *mental note*). Just something that I may (or may not) find interesting that week! And since this is our first week of "Friday Fun Fact" we have a DOUBLE Fun Fact for you!
This week our Fun Facts will be something you may or may not have known about us!
Fun Fact #1: Ron was a sponsored BMX racer for 10 years (starting around age 8), winning over 20 national championships!
Fun Fact #2: Courtney worked for the Disneyland Resort for 5 year as an attraction host (in both Disneyland and Californa Adventure) as well as a Guest Relations Tour Guide, a choreographer for Disney's annual charity event "Flashback" and a dancer in Disney's Electrical Parade!
(She's the mouse on the far left)
Hope you enjoyed our special DOUBLE Fun Fact Friday!!!
I have been so excited for this session! Baby Sofia was a pure joy to photograph! She was a rockstar! As soon as her mommy put her to sleep she was out for the whole session! She loves to have her hands up by her face it was just too cute!!! She is 6 days old and it's the perfect time to do these portraits because she can still curl up (or stretch out as she liked to show us many times....I see a dancer in her future! hehe) and she doesn't mind being turned in different positions because of the deep sleep she was in.
It was so hard to narrow it down but here are a few of my favorites...
I fell in love with every little wrinkle in her skin! I love these precious little ones!
And of course like any little girl, we had to play dress up! Such a cute little teddy bear!
Just chill'n....(I secretly think she was imagining herself on the beach in the California sun!)
To her mommy and daddy, it was such a pleasure! I can't wait for you to see all the portraits! And I can only imagine how much fun her next session at 3 months will be!
