This past friday I had the great honor of photographing Dale and Jenni's wedding in Northern California. I must say, they have one of the coolest wedding dates...11-11-11! I love that!
I just adore this couple! Dale's daughter Amy was my roomate and I have known Dale for over 5 years now and I just adore him! When I got the chance to meet Jenni, I knew this was a VERY special couple! I couldn't be more happy for Dale and Jenni! Despite the rain and cold weather, this vineyard tasting room was full or love and sunshine! Here are a few of my favorite photos from their special day...
The wedding was held at the beautiful Pessagno tasting room. Their staff was AMAZING and just all around fun!

Although pretty much all the vines are bare, we happened to find this one little grape hanging on!

Dale and his mother...

This next one just touches my heart! Dale is such a kind, generous, loving man and he lets his emotions show and I just love that! As soon as we arrived and he was describing the changes being made due to the rain, the moment he mentioned "And this will be where the Bride walks down the aisle" he started to tear up. He is so sweet!!! Here is his reaction when he saw his Bride coming down the aisle...

Is that not the sweetest thing you have ever seen???
This is another sweet moment during the ceremony...

We were able to catch a break in the rain and rushed outside to capture a portrait of the whole family...

There were so many special details at this wedding from the little water bottles on the table to the hanging on the wall with their name and date, it was all so special!

Thank you Dale, Jenni, and family for allowing me to be a part of your special day! I am so happy for you!

It was such a pleasure to take baby Ian's first portraits! His mommy is a good friend (and fellow photographer) I have known for 5 years and it's such a joy to see them enjoy parenthood! Our little guys are only a couple months apart and I can't wait until they are old enough to hang out together for a play-date! Ian's mommy and daddy are two of the coolest people around and I am so happy for them and their new family of three! Here are a couple images from his session...

I just love this image and the little wrinkles on his fingers...

I look forward to seeing you grow little man! And I know my little RJ looks forward to running around with you "doing what boys do" (which I assume includes a lot of climbing on things and getting into trouble...or so I've heard) hehe
Wow, it's been awhile since I have posted on our blog! With being a new mommy and working I have been such a busy gal! Now that we are in Fall I am looking forward to all the family portrait sessions and designing holiday cards! I can't wait to share the holidays with my new little family!
We have lots of previews to come so stay tuned! We also have a great special running for the month of November for family portraits!
We hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween!
Here is my little monkey getting ready for his first halloween...

Ten years ago today time stood still as we watched (or listened) as our American freedom went under attack on the east coast. This past weekend I had the opportunity to visit the Richard Nixon Library which hosted a display of some of the steal recovered from the fallen towers as well as a firetruck that helped in the rescue. It is AMAZING to me, to see this huge, solid stretch of steal that these towers were built with and to relive the images in my mind of the towers crumbling to the ground. 10 years later and I still can't believe what happened to us that dark day.
Sunday's are "family day" at my house and I made the decision to watch shows during the week about 9/11 and not today because I just didn't feel that I wanted to see anything that would put a sad note on our family day. BELIEVE ME...I have not, nor will I EVER forget this day in history! As I sit holding my 4 month old son I wonder what he will learn from this day. It will be in history books for years to come and I wonder what they will share and what he will ask me about it. What will I tell him? How do you explain to a child that there are bad people in the world that want to harm us? I sometimes don't even understand it myself. What I do understand is that we are blessed to be American, and more importantly we are PROUD to be American!
I have grown up with family and friends who are police, firefighters, airforce, army, navy, ect. I am proud of each and every one of them and I am, and will always be thankful for what they do to protect us both here at home and abroad! We will never forget what happened that day in American history, nor will we ever forget the heros that were lost. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
My mothers boyfriend owns a special edition Harley Davidson motorcycle that is the "Fire Fighter" edition. It's an AMAZING bike and it has the last names of all the fallen fire fighters on the gas tank of the bike. We took that along with us up to the display to get some pics of that as well.

The last names of over 300 firefighters lost in the attack on 9/11...it's unreal to see it in writing!

Steal from the towers...

Part of a steal beam from the fallen towers. People have left messages all over it. I can't even imagine seeing in person a HUGE solid building like that just crumble to the ground.

I was so excited to meet this little lady! This princess belongs to my dear friend Amy and I was honored to be able to go visit her and meet the newest addition to her family! We took a little road trip up north and I'm not gonna lie, I was nervous to take a 3 month old on a 6 hour road trip but he traveled like a champ and my husband and I were very proud!
Amy is a great friend and former roommate of mine and I just love her so much! We have shared some great times over the years and maybe even a crazy house party or two back in the day. *wink* We have seen eachother through good and tough times and even as we met our husbands and now we both have a brand new family of 3 (within about 8 weeks of eachother! crazy right?) I'm so glad everything worked out and our babies got to meet eachother! It was a very quick trip but so enjoyable! Next time we will be able to stay much longer and even make it to our traditional trip to Tower Cafe for breakfast (the best breakfast in town if you ask me!) Here are some of my favs from Kelsey's newborn session...

Kelsey's baby room is pink and green so I made this beautiful green headpiece to match the room! This will look great on her wall!

I made this headpiece too! I love making them!

Kelsey's daddy get's a lot of cool things from his work and this is one of them! I knew we had to do a portrait on this as soon as I walked in their home!

Mommy and Daddy have an amazing collection of wine including this very large bottle! It's so cool!!

Thank you Amy for having us in your home and allowing us to capture your beautiful little girl! We couldn't be more happy for you and your family and we love you dearly!
